I Feel the Earth Move

I Feel the Earth Move by Martika is played in the key of C. Originally recorded in the sounding key of C, 'I Feel the Earth Move' by Martika is best approached with a Capo placed on Fret 5, enabling guitarists to execute friendly G shapes while fully preserving the studio pitch. The Gm7 barre chord can be voiced as a partial three-string triad on upper strings to preserve momentum and prevent fingertip strain while practicing. The primary progression challenge lies in switching between Bbmaj7 and Gm7: keep your fingers hovering close to the fretboard rather than flying off between changes. Set your metronome at an initial practice tempo of 66 BPM in 4/4 time to master the '↓ - ↓ ↑ - ↑ ↓ ↑' strumming groove, emphasizing steady downstrokes on beats one and three before accelerating toward the studio speed of 92 BPM.
