Ukays is one of the most famous and culturally revered Malaysian slow-rock and pop-rock groups of all time, formed in 1989 in Kuala Lumpur by mastermind composer Saari Amri alongside lead vocalist Amir (Mohd Azmir bin Yusof). Dominating the airwaves across Malaysia and Indonesia, Ukays defined the soundtrack of 1990s Nusantara rock music.
