YUQI of (G)I-DLE

Song Yuqi (宋雨琦 / 우기), known mononymously as YUQI, was born on September 23, 1999, in Beijing, China. Debuting in 2018 as a lead vocalist, lead dancer, and songwriter of superstar K-pop girl group (G)I-DLE under Cube Entertainment, Yuqi has established herself as one of the most distinctive, multifaceted, and charismatic young global pop powerhouses. Renowned for her rare, deep husky contralto voice, vibrant personality, and self-produced songwriting, Yuqi achieved immense global solo success with hits like 'Giant', 'Bonnie & Clyde', 'Could It Be', and her record-breaking solo mini-album 'YUQ1' (2024) featuring the international hit 'FREAK'.
